International money transfers to France or Spain could be on the rise again soon as Brits are showing an increasing level of interest in eurozone property.
According to Sue Ockwell, spokesperson for the Association of Independent Tour Operators, European countries are making an effort to lower prices.
France in particular is popular thanks to the fact that people can drive there from the UK; while Spain is once again starting to attract Brits due to the fact that the low cost airlines serve the country well.
Ms Ockwell said: "Egypt has been perceived as cheap because it's outside the eurozone, but I think people are starting to realise that the eurozone isn't now so expensive. Countries are taking steps to cut price."
The comments follow the publication of the Post Office Travel Services Holiday Money Report, which found that the cost of living in Spain has declined by around 30 per cent over the past year - making it the cheapest destination within the eurozone.
