International money transfers to Sweden could be popular among expatriates with a sense of adventure.

According to a recent article in the Telegraph, a number of people are moving to Swedish Lapland.

The area covering the northernmost parts of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia is sometimes described as "Europe's last wilderness", the paper noted, adding that temperatures can drop to -30 degrees C.

However, Patricia Cowern moved form the West Midlands to the village of Porjus in Lapland for the space, quiet and proximity to nature.

The area gives her daughters "freedom to be children", she told the paper, adding that the village is "simple but safe".

Expatriates considering making a similar move might want to look into using a foreign exchange broker to send money to Sweden in order to cut down the initial costs involved in setting up home abroad.
