The number of Britons looking to emigrate to Turkey is on the increase, an expert has said.
According to James Dearsley, European sales manager at Atlas International, there are a number of factors influencing Britons to make the move abroad.
"We are certainly seeing an increase in [people] wanting a permanent move, so it is offering a very good alternative for people," he stated.
An important factor in making the decision is the favourable exchange rate, Mr Dearsley said, which could be good news for those planning to transfer money to Turkey to fund their new life.
"We are seeing [that] moves for investment and the standard of living [are] on the increase, on the whole," he added.
Speaking to the Independent this week, Janet Schofield of the Turkish specialists Nicholas Homes, said that those looking to buy property in Turkey could get more for their money in the country, compared with Greece or Spain, which could be good news for those considering a money transfer to the country to move away from the British recession.
