Property investors could be tempted to make an international money transfer to Brazil during 2011.

According to recent comments from Loxley McKenzie, director of investment advisory firm Colordarcy, Brazil is in the running to be the top investment destination for the year.

Turkey was also highlighted as being well-placed for buyers.

"Both have been completely stabilised and reformed for the better by two terms of excellent governance," Mr McKenzie said.

"Both now have stable and rapidly growing economies, and both are seeing growing affluence in the population which will cause demand for housing to outstrip supply by a large and increasing amount."

Meanwhile, the US was cited as third best country for property investment, which is no surprise to Mr McKenzie due to the high numbers of distressed sales and discounted new builds.

International money transfers can help to keep costs down when buying property abroad.
