International money transfers to France could become increasingly popular as the holiday home market appears to be making a revival.
Tim Swannie, director of property agency Home Hunts, told Overseas Property Professional that the market is "recovering well".
"Price drops of ten to 15 per cent approximately in the south of France over the past two years, values have definitely stabilised throughout 2010," he said.
"Prices are even beginning to creep back up again slightly in the most popular areas."
Paris in particular is "booming", with interest coming in from the UK, Russia, the Middle East and China.
UK buyers might want to make use of international money transfers to ensure they have the maximum amount of cash available to beat the competition and purchase their dream home.
This could be especially important in the more popular arrondissements, where demand is said to be outstripping supply.
