Britons may want to make an international money transfer to the US to enjoy New York City's "timeless appeal".
Robert Wilson, UK director of NYC & Company, suggested that the city's diversity draws people who are visiting "for their first time and those who come back year-on-year".
"Its pace and its sheer range of attractions - from award-winning museums and Michelin-starred restaurants to the hippest bars and nightlife," are all part of its draw, he added.
Britons who have fallen in love with the city and are considering buying property in New York may want to use a money transfer to move their funds to the US.
Saving money on transfers could prove to be particularly important at times like these when the pound is losing ground against the dollar.
Concerns regarding the eurozone's sovereign debt issues are weighing on sterling after political uncertainty and rating agency Fitch's recent decision to downgrade Ireland.
This morning (December 10th), sterling was trading against the dollar at $1.58.
