International money transfers to the US could become increasingly popular as more and more Brits appear to be studying in the country.
Recent reports from the BBC claimed that the number of British students studying in the US is at a "record high".
One such student is James Martin. Originally from Sheffield, Mr Martin decided to enrol in a community college near Washington DC after spending a gap year in the area.
His tuition fees of £1,500 a year are minor in comparison to the proposed hikes to £9,000 a year for universities in the UK.
Mr Martin told the news source: "I never thought I'd get an undergraduate education, because of my upbringing. Everything that our family got they've earned by doing it.
"I chose to come here because of the money."
Students looking to study abroad could make use of independent foreign exchange brokers in order to shift funds for fees through an international money transfer.
