International money transfers to Italy could become increasingly popular as air traffic to the country appears to be on the rise.
Figures compiled by Overseas Property Professional have revealed that demand for air travel in the country's airports rose by 5.3 per cent over the course of the first seven months of the year.
This follows declines of passenger numbers in 2009 and 2008 by 2.3 per cent and 1.8 per cent respectively.
With passenger numbers picking up, overseas property investors may want to look into making an international money transfer to Italy in order to take advantage of the increasing number of tourists and visitors.
It appears that some people are already buying up houses as sales rose during the last quarter of 2009, despite expectations of price falls over the course of the past two years.
Estate agent conglomerate Tecnocassa told the news source the property in the city centres is likely to hold its value best due to "short supply and interest from investors and residential buyers".
