International money transfers to Spain could increase in popularity after Paramount Pictures revealed that it is due to open its first European theme park in the country.
The Murcia region has been chosen for the park, which could see rental rates improve dramatically.
People considering taking advantage of this trend may want to look into international money transfers.
Moving funds this way could save significant amounts of money by avoiding the high foreign exchange rates charged by high street banks.
Chris Mercer, director of Murcia-based estate agents Mercer, noted that one established resort, Camposol Golf, is just four minutes' drive away from the park.
Some property buyers may want to consider simply investing in a house in the region in order to watch the value appreciate.
Mr Mercer said: "Prices will inevitably start to rise as this project gets off the ground and, rather like those fortunate enough to purchase holiday rental property close to Florida's Disney World, Camposol Golf will directly benefit from having a leisure attraction of this stature quite literally on the doorstep - though comfortingly not on-site."
