Currency exchange is men's area of responsibility when it comes to organising holidays, it has been suggested.
Recent research conducted by Tesco has revealed that 56 per cent of men claim to be in charge of the holiday finances when they take a trip away with their partner.
Despite this, women appear to be the ones with the greatest influence over the choice of destination.
In fact, 27 per cent of women indicated that they are more likely to influence the decision of where to go, while just 17 per cent of males said the same.
John Howell, head of travel money at the supermarket's bank, said: "Whilst there are some differences between the way men and women perceive their holiday finances, one thing everyone will agree on is that they want to get the most out of their holiday money.
"With the average person spending £338 each week whilst away, it is essential people find the best deal to make your holiday money stretch a lot further."
