Dubai offers "first-class facilities for both leisure and business travellers", it has been suggested.

This could make it the ideal location for Brits to invest in a property – perhaps by using an international money transfer system.

Ian Scott, director of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, explained the emirate takes pride in its increasingly popular offerings.

He added he was "delighted" with a recent award from the Irish Travel Trade News, recognising it as the best destination in the Middle East and Africa.

First-class quality is at the core of the country's values and so it is no wonder it has established itself on the world stage, Mr Scott continued.

"Dubai's evolution from a small port to the global hub it is today has been successfully achieved by the pioneering vision of its leaders," he said.

Mr Scott concluded there were attractions for everyone including men, women, children, couples and families.

If people do buy a second home in this United Arab Emirates city, they may find they are able to rent it out to holidaymakers as a way to bring in some extra income.ADNFCR-1995-ID-19011351-ADNFCR
