Breakfast Briefing - ‘Evaluating FX Volatility', 25th April, 2007

We would like to invite you to join us at an exclusive breakfast debate focused on ‘Evaluating FX Volatility’ on April 25th at Soho House in central London.

For many UK companies, doing business overseas will be critical to the long-term viability and profitability of their ventures. Despite this, Finance Directors spend, on average, less than 10% of their time managing their FX exposure. For some organisations this has had a hugely detrimental effect on their bottom line.

So just what do organisations need to know to protect themselves from foreign exchange volatility? And how can they act on this knowledge without stripping critical resources from other areas of the business?

This breakfast briefing will strive to address how organisations can manage their FX exposure efficiently to produce the maximum benefits whilst investing the minimum time.

Date: Wednesday, 25th April
Time:  8am - 10am
Venue: Soho House, London
Facilitator: Chris Towner, Director of HiFX FX Advisory Services Ltd
Contributor: Rupert Mapplebeck, Treasurer, HMV Group Plc

Key points to be covered during the session:

  • What is the lowest investment you need to make, in terms of time, resources and cost, to effectively manage your currency exposure?
  • What knowledge and tools do you need at your disposal to most effectively manage this risk?
  • What are the alternatives to actively managing your FX risk? Is there an industry benchmark?

We are limiting attendance to a maximum of 10 senior executives to ensure we optimise the debate and networking opportunities. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you are interested in attending please click here to register your details and we will be in touch to confirm your place and with more specific information on the event.
