Traditional second-home destinations eclipsed

Traditional second-home destinations such as France and Spain are being eclipsed as Britons increasingly seek holiday and retirement property in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, according to currency exchange firm HiFX. Mark Bodega from HiFX said: "We often see an uplift in the number of emigration inquiries around this time of year as people emerge from the British winter. "This month we have seen an increasing number of inquires for the ever-popular destinations of Canada, Australia and New Zealand
